Give me all ya ISK!
2So…
For the purpose of immunity – all-names have been changed here and systems will not be identified
The account starts at approximately 8pm Eve time:
Target is inbound primed and expecting a completely different welcome than that they are going to receive. The ‘pack’ gather… half on the mining belt running a small decoy op, with the others scattered around the target systems stations and +1 jump systems.
Com’s goes live… Radio checks completed… all ships fitted and ammo filled. We all wait in anticipation…
Time for one last review of the ‘Plan’; Gate… scram, web and ransom for $millions, get the cargo and steal the ship if possible.
Notice comes through to us all. Target is now 1 jump out. We are gather around in the inbound gate and ready ourselves. My guns are grouped for alpha strike so the targets shields can be taken off quickly to either provide a friendly ‘nudge’ during the ransom or to simply kill the target quickly. I’m fast shield tank frig fitted so I’m the tackler… It’s important for me to identify, target and get the target warp disrupted and webbed fast before they really know whats going on.
Here goes. Target jumps in from the other side of the gate but is still in cloak my side… I know he’s there but don’t know where. Its important now that the cloak is broken quickly and I grab him before he sees me and the rest of the guys and jumps back. I must maintain the advantage. My initial orbit of 500m on the gate is extended to 1km to try and force a de-cloak. The guys dump drones to also try and trip the cloak… finally there he is on the overview.
Target called - lock, scram & webbed. I call ‘Full point’… he’s not going anywhere. He does have drones out but I’m moving nice and fast so it’s only them I need to worry about. They get targeted in priority of DPS in case I need to defend my self at some point over the next few minutes.
As expected the ‘convo’ starts and we receive the obligatory ” What the F**** guys, what’s going on?”. We run through our ransom and receive what we ask for… but he doesn’t want to get out of his ship so the shields get ripped off him to give him something to consider. Again he sticks to his ground. Off come the armor now we have to be careful not to kill the ship, but he’s not interested anymore or he’s in a blind panic….
Rabbit in the headlights take over and he fires his guns, but recalls his drones…. then stops firing and attempts to run back to the gate unaware that he’s been bumped off track and can’t get back before his structure is starting to go down. Chat goes live again with “STOP STOP STOP”. We do.
We explain again that he needs to leave his ship, and not to attempt to gate jump… but he continues to try and run. “POP HIM” comes over the ‘coms’, and very quickly the ships goes down with a little whit triangle left where a mighty vessel used to be. The Pod come on the overview so I grab it - again I call “Full Point” and get the reply “POP IT”… I simply click on the gun group without hesitation or remorse and watch as his POD goes POP!
The wreck is protected whilst cargo gathered and salvaging taken place… all payments and loot added up and slip among the crew. We have a quick de-brief and go shopping. Target is left alone to continue their Eve career with a hard lesson leant.
Android 6months on. Do I still like it?
0Well… I’ve had my HTC desire Android phone now for just over 6 months. Do I still like it? Simply answer to that is yes. Why? Because it continues to do everything I ask of it. There are of course some issues bit that’s down to personal taste more.than the fault of the phone. Apart from the life span of the battery… everything is still working. The camera is a bit out of.focus most of the time, and I’m still hitting full stops instead if the space bar when I’m using the phone to type anything longer than 5 words. Gues thats down to my fat thumbs.
I’ve used email, text, calendar, photos, video, calculator, office viewer, pdt reader, a few games, some dictionaries, converter software ans most recently used a contraction timer due to the birth of our first child.
One thing I would like to see is more free apps updates fyi save onto the SD card. When I updated to 2.2 I thought I’d free up all my phone me. But with flash, Google maps ans Tue market app itself sitting on the phone and unable to be saved to SD, I find it a bit of a low point.
Compared to the other desire phones. I think this one. I.e. the first release is the better. The hd is just too big, and the others are too small fair ac touch screen.
Well. Just a short post. See you all again. Please comment if you have any views.
Android test post part 2

For the second part: I’m reviewing the ease of publishing a photo via the wp android app on my HTC desire.
Why? Well, it came to me that some clients may prefer to have a solution via a web based system direct from site in relative real time. This could be done via big system with registered access contrived via pages it even individual posts. Alternatively a blog could easily be set up as a sub domain in. The companies main name. This approach would carry a number of advantages for both me and the client in that I would have enhanced internet exposure and they would have online instant access without the need for hosting ect. They of course would drive access requirements and be able to have admin rights for users, but in most would have a stand off solution. This would be of particular interest for instant evaluation of remote sites.
It could be argued however that this usage is limited, and that it would be as easy to simple produce a report and send out via email. It does however allow collaboration and discussion via the internet platform. Imagine a scenario where a client wishes to assess its parking facilities, and need this information available to a number of departments inc the users. This posting facility would allow all to access and post ideas and thoughts of solution, post comments on solution proposals and with an extremely cost effective way run polls to have a democratic or guided selection of solution.
Take the attached photo as example. This post could well be an actual submission of evidence and discussion topic.
In terms of this actual review though, I found the camera on the phone relatively easy to use, the controls are little cumbersome via the touch screen in respect to getting to Tue settings etc, and zoom is almost a hide feature! However, after some practice….. taking photos is easy. I’ve set the cam up from my home screen so its literary one tap to bring the cam up and another tap of the center button to take the pic. One thing I don’t particularly like is the fact of not having a side bottom on the case further camera. Taking photos with the center bottom requires you to kind if screw your hand round what holding the phone in position. It is easy enough for a portrait style quick star, but not so good for landscape.
Posting is as easy as anything. You simply navigate to the big you have setup via the apps settings, tap on it in the big listings and navigate to Tue post option . Attaching a pic is as easy as tapping the add media button. What you get is an option to either add a current photo from your phone, take a new photo to post or add a vid from your phone. What you can’t do however is place the item inside the post itself and defaults to the top center of the post as above.
Knowing this can assist, but you could be caught out if it is vital to have pics at various places throughout the post.
In closing. The phone and App combination work effortlessness to post a pic in a post. Its as easy as posting a normal typed entry… just remember about the pics position.
