Eve online isk – How you can make your empire!

Anyone who has played a mmorpg knows that currency is the key to sucess and advancement. In Eve online, this currency is called ‘isk’. It is your doller, pound or ruble. Isk is what allows you to pay your bills (corp bills), buy materials to fuel your POS (player owned structure) or pay fees for using manufactoring slots to biuld your next money making item ready for market or simply update your ship and buy ammo for your guns.

You can only… no. That’s not right. You should only obtain isk ingame. Although you can buy it from online sites it is against the terms and conditions of the game, and you can find your account being banned for a period of time or indefinatly.

Making isk in-game is easy enough. Making enough is not!   Eve online boasts an ‘alive’ ecconomy. CCP, the developers employ two full time ecconomic advisers just to keep things in tow and ticking along. All prices are player driven (although not quite all), as suply and demand plays out as in real life effecting prices paid for everything.

When you want to upgrade your ship, you’ll have to use millions of ISK do to so. The same goes for obtaining the next set of wishlist gear and weapons. The time taken to earn enough EVE Online ISK also depends on player’s skills and how you apply them.   Ways to make ISK include Mission running, Trading, Industry (production), Innovation, Salvage, Piracy, PVP, Moon mining, Ice mining, Ore mining and Planet interaction.

The ultimate question becomes, what are the most efficient ways to make ISK. The most well-known method is mining. This takes time and also pose as a risk if you wan to increase your returns by venturing into the low security space. The other alternative is to pick up missions and complete those.

The rewards of running missions almost always include EVE Online ISK. If you prefer mission running, there are four different types which are trading, courier, killing and again mining. Ideally, switching between missions and mining can keep you interested. Doing just one over and over again can be extremely boring. You will have to start with lvl 1 missions and work up to the lucrative lvl 4.

You can use the in-game map to find agents you can request missions via display settings ‘your available agents’. Each agent will be aligned to a corporation and Faction. Your standings with these will effect the mission level you will be offered. Each time you accept and complete a mission you gain standings, and when you get the required level, you can move up to lvl 2, 3 or 4. About evey 15 or so missions, you may be offered what is called a story line mission. This can give your standings a good boost and offer some good loot after you have killed everything in the mission area.

If you really want to make isk, then I recommend Eve Billionaire and this one, Dominate Eve Guide. These are both renowned guides to help you. You can of course do it all your self, but the lessons will take you a long time to test and learn. A guide simply shortens the time it will take you and give you the advantage over others.
